How to build a resume you can back up in an interview
- Choose a target application. An internship resume and a customer service resume may highlight different examples from the same background.
- Gather dates, education and two or three real tasks. For each task, write what you did, which tool you used and the result you observed.
- Fill in the editor and replace all sample details. Do not copy names, figures or skills that are not yours.
- Download the PDF in classic, modern or compact style. Check page breaks, contact details and text order; follow the format requested in the job posting.
- Keep a copy with a clear file name. You can then save it to your account and compare it with a job using the checker.
Questions about the builder
- Where is my draft saved?
- The form saves the draft in this browser. Avoid leaving that data on a shared computer. Saving a resume to your account is a separate action; you can select it when analyzing a job.
- Do I need to pay to download?
- Accounts and the editor are currently free. PDF generation is limited to 20 requests per 10 minutes per user; saving to your account is limited to 10 requests per 10 minutes. Service availability also applies.
- Does a template guarantee passing an ATS?
- No. The layouts use one column and text, but recruitment systems and processes vary. Review the PDF and follow the application instructions.
- Can I use it without employment experience?
- Yes. Remove empty jobs and describe projects or volunteering, clearly labelled. Education and practical skills provide context without inventing employment.
